Mountains and stones cried after us

On March 8, 1944, the Balkarian people were forcibly and unjustifiably evicted from their historical homeland to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. This event is one of the gravest crimes of Stalinism and one of the most severe tragedies of the twentieth century. March 8, according to the resolution of the Supreme Council of the KBASSR, has been declared the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the forced Eviction of the Balkar people since 1992. This publication has been prepared in order to assist library workers of the republic in preparing and holding events dedicated to this tragic date in the history of the Balkar people.
8 марта, согласно постановлению Верховного Совета КБССР с 1992 года объявлено Днем памяти жертв насильственного выселения балкарского народа.
Данное издание подготовлено с целью оказания помощи библиотечным работникам республики в подготовке и проведении мероприятий, посвященных этой трагической дате в истории балкарского народа.
